🎥 Aria Kasaii and Leila Naqilu, two graphic designers, have been detained since July 28, 1405. According to statements from their friends and close ones, their detention was carried out during a work meeting about the Villa Zedig project, with the presence of representatives from the cultural section of the French Embassy in Tehran. The Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic, without naming the two, described this meeting as a “secret meeting” and part of the project of “foreign infiltration and interference.” However, the close ones of these two artists say that their cooperation was solely in the field of designing the visual identity of the project, and the outcome of this cooperation had been published publicly earlier. In an interview with Nazli Sadqi, an attorney at law, we discussed the line between professional activity and a security-related charge, the rights of the accused during detention, and the importance of access to an independent lawyer.
