Arash Aramash, a lawyer and security expert, said it appears that the Trump administration has not yet made a definitive decision about its final strategy toward the Islamic Republic. He added that the United States is currently weighing three options, including escalating the war, continuing the attritional situation, or moving toward an agreement, and it is still not clear which path it will choose.
He also said that, militarily, the United States is capable of carrying out limited ground operations, including on some of Iran’s strategic islands, but decision-making in this regard depends more on the political will of the U.S. government than on military considerations.
