🔶 An unidentified projectile struck a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz

The British Maritime Trade Operations Center on Sunday, September 13 (September 22), reported that it had received a report stating that a vessel was hit by an unidentified projectile while transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the center, the condition of the crew, the extent of the damage, and any potential environmental consequences of the incident are not yet known.

In its message, the British Maritime Trade Operations Center, while noting that investigations into the incident are ongoing, warned ships to transit through the Strait of Hormuz with caution and to report any suspicious activities.

The volume of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remains subject to severe restrictions, given the continued tensions between Tehran and Washington, and the transfer of oil and gas to the world through this waterway has been severely affected.
