In its message, the British Maritime Trade Operations Center, while noting that investigations into the incident are ongoing, warned ships to transit through the Strait of Hormuz with caution and to report any suspicious activities.

The volume of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remains subject to severe restrictions, given the continued tensions between Tehran and Washington, and the transfer of oil and gas to the world through this waterway has been severely affected.
