Amirreza Vaez Ashtiyani, the former CEO of Esteghlal, reported in an interview with “Khabar Varzeshi” that “Proyez Khosrowani,” the brigadier general of the Pahlavi era, and the former manager of the “Taj” club or the current Esteghlal, called him after this team won the Persian Gulf Pro League and said: “He called and told me he’s happy that I’m the CEO of my club.” In another part of his remarks, Amirreza Vaez Ashtiyani said that Khosrowani had given him a list of the Taj club’s assets in Tehran, Abadan, and Turkey.
Amirreza Vaez Ashtiyani was among Esteghlal’s former managers who, after the obstruction efforts of “Amir Ghalenoei” and the order of “Ali Aghamohammadi,” an adviser to “Ali Khamenei,” following a short period of managing this club, was removed from Esteghlal.
