American senator after meeting with Qatari officials: agreement with Iran is not imminent

A reporter for The Monitor reported that Chris Murphy, a Democratic senator from the U.S. state of Connecticut, after separate meetings with the Emir of Qatar and the country’s senior mediator regarding the process of negotiations between Iran and the United States, commented.

Murphy said that an agreement with Iran to end the war under current conditions “does not seem imminent.”
