🔸 The American news agency Bloomberg reported that internal Pentagon investigations show that incorrect information, old satellite images, and overreliance on an AI-based system played a role in the U.S. attack on a school in Minab.

🔸 In the attack on the ninth of Esfand on the “Shajare Teyyeba” primary school, more than 150 people were killed, including at least 123 children.

🔸 According to Bloomberg, in terms of child casualties, this is the deadliest targeting mistake by the U.S. military in the 21st century.

🔸 Citing officials familiar with the investigations, Bloomberg says two Tomahawk missiles struck the school, and some Pentagon personnel received within a few hours that the United States was responsible for the attack.

🔸 According to these officials, the investigations revealed “a chain of failures that could have been prevented.”

The U.S. Department of Defense announced on the ninth of Esfand 1404 and the incident of the attack on a girls’ primary school in Minab that it was conducting an investigation, but despite pressure from Congress, it has not yet published the results of its investigation.
