🔶 All flights from Iran to Iraq suspended; Najaf also joined the sanctions

According to the announcement by the management of the Najaf International Airport, all inbound flights from Iran and outbound flights to Iran, from 2:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25 (Mehr 3), local time, have been suspended until further notice.

The official Iraqi news agency reflected this directive from the Najaf airport management, in which airlines and the entities responsible for flight operations were instructed to take no action in connection with flights covered by this decision.

It was also announced that any further instructions regarding the resumption of flights would be communicated to airlines.

The suspension of Iranian flights at Najaf Airport was announced after the Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran reported the stopping of acceptance of flights by Iranian airlines at Baghdad Airport.
