Ali Sadrzadeh, an analyst of Middle East affairs, said that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has turned into a global crisis, and that rising energy prices and diplomatic efforts by European countries, including France and Germany, show the importance of this issue for the global economy. He added that there is still no clear solution for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

Sadrzadeh also said that European and Arab countries do not want to enter the war directly, and in his view, the ongoing war has revealed the limits of the United States’ capacity to provide security for its allies. He added that in Arab countries, discussions about creating a regional security mechanism to manage the crisis have become more prominent than before.
