Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament, said that the Strait of Hormuz, as a strategic waterway, will remain under the control of the Islamic Republic forever.
Boroujerdi, in an interview with the defense press reporter, said that the Bab al-Mandab Strait, as a retaliatory measure against Saudi Arabia, is in the hands of the Yemenis and they control the strait. He added that the Yemenis play a role in developments in the Persian Gulf.
This member of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Republic Parliament described the United States’ recent moves after the establishment of a ceasefire as the result of a “strategic defeat of Washington,” and said these actions are being carried out with the aim of making up for the failure.
