An Al Jazeera correspondent based in Yemen, citing forces of the country’s legitimate government, reported the killing of 30 Houthi rebels and the wounding of more than 60 others.

Al Jazeera has not confirmed these figures, but said that clashes between the two sides are currently focused in the western part of the province of “Taiz” and in the area of Al-Waza’iyah District.

Yemen’s legitimate government forces also reported carrying out airstrikes against Houthi rebel positions in the province of Taiz.

These forces also bombed routes leading to the port of Mocha near Bab al-Mandab and the Houthis’ supply lines in this area, in order to prevent the rebels from advancing toward the coast.

Based on this report, the Houthis’ attacks on positions of forces supporting Yemen’s legitimate government in the Keboub area were also repelled.
