🔸Agence France-Presse reported on Wednesday, citing two sources linked to the Popular Mobilization Forces, that in joint attacks by the United States and Saudi Arabia on positions of this alliance of Iran-backed armed groups in Iraq, "five Iranian advisers" were killed.

🔸French journalists in Baghdad observed that, at a funeral ceremony held by the Popular Mobilization Forces for the slain, coffins draped with the Iranian flag were carried.

🔸The two sources said the Iranian advisers were killed in an attack carried out in Diyala province, in central Iraq.

🔸Earlier, some domestic outlets close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had reported the deaths of four IRGC members in these attacks.

🔸Officials and media outlets of the Islamic Republic refer to Iranian armed forces that have been present in countries such as Iraq, Yemen, and Syria in recent years as "military advisers."
