After the severe attacks by the United States early this morning on Qeshm Island, BBC Persian was able to speak with one of the residents of this island, who said they had heard the sounds of explosions since early morning.

He told BBC Persian that they are currently facing problems such as the internet and power being cut, as well as “the conditions becoming dangerous.” He said: “We’re gathering our things to go to Tehran. Get out—here the situation is getting more dangerous. From 3:40 a.m. it was nonstop noise. We’re so miserable.”

Last night, after the attacks, for a time the power to areas of Qeshm had been cut.

Iranian officials say that in the attacks on Qeshm last night, three members of a family, including a child, were killed, and the other two children in this family were transferred to the hospital.
