Aerial assets and Marine aviation forces of the U.S. Marine Corps deployed aboard the U.S. amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD-4) support the ongoing U.S. maritime blockade against Iran. As of August 6, U.S. Central Command forces have diverted the routes of 49 commercial vessels, stopped two ships from moving, and inspected two vessels to ensure full enforcement of the regulations.
