According to the announced figures, only 12 commercial vessels that can be registered passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the last weekend, while this figure was 35 vessels in the previous seven days.

Based on data from the company Kepler, on Sunday four vessels left the strait and two small tankers entered the Persian Gulf. On Saturday, five vessels carrying agricultural products, liquefied petroleum gas, and fertilizer left the Persian Gulf.

Before the start of the war, on 9 Esfand, this strait was allowing about 125 large commercial vessels to pass through each day.

These figures pertain to vessels that keep their radar systems turned on and pass through the strait. On the other side, most of the traffic through Hormuz is carried out with support from the U.S. Army and by turning off radars.
