🔸According to reports received by Radio Farda, security officers, on Thursday morning, 19 Shahrivar, arrested Saba Safidi Deznab, a Baha’i citizen, at her place of residence and transferred her to Qarچak Varamin prison.
🔸Ms. Safidi, in a brief call with her family, said that she had been transferred to this prison to serve her sentence of three years and five months.
🔸Previously, on 21 Dey 1400, after enduring 44 days of detention, she had been temporarily released by posting a bail worth one and a half billion tomans. Her case was reviewed in Shahrivar 1402 by Branch 29 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court, with the charge of “membership in anti-establishment groups.”
🔸The judge in charge of enforcement of sentences had previously granted a two-month deadline due to Saba Safidi Deznab’s jaw and dental surgery, so that she could introduce herself to begin serving her sentence after the surgery.
🔸In recent months, the Iranian government’s pressure on Baha’i citizens has increased significantly, and various reports have been published about the seizure of personal property of Baha’i citizens in different cities across Iran and their arrests.
