🔻According to English media, Arsenal and Newcastle have reached a final agreement over the £75 million transfer of Bruno Guimarães.

🔹The 28-year-old Brazilian midfielder, after joining Newcastle’s pre-season camp in Spain and making a direct request to new manager Matthias Jaissle for a move, is now on the verge of traveling to London to take Arsenal’s medical tests.

🔹Under the agreement reached, Arsenal will pay the full £75 million in cash, with no additional variables. From this transfer, Guimarães’ former club, Olympique Lyonnais, will receive an amount between £7 and £8 million due to its 20% share in Newcastle’s profit.

🔹Guimarães, who joined Newcastle from Lyon in January 2022 for £40 million, during his 4-and-a-half-year stay made 195 appearances, scored 31 goals, and registered 32 assists. He also lifted the EFL Cup as captain last March.

🔹Guimarães’ departure, following the £70 million sale of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona and the £100 million transfer of Sandro Tonali to Tottenham, is considered another major blow to Newcastle.
