According to Al Mayadeen, Yahya Saree, a spokesman for the Houthis, announced that aircraft of Saudi Arabia during the past 24 hours carried out 52 airstrikes on the provinces of Taiz, Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, Saada and Amran.

Earlier, Al Mayadeen reported that Saudi Arabia carried out 13 airstrikes on the Dhubab district in the Taiz Governorate in the south-west of Yemen.

The Houthi foreign ministry also said in a statement: “We have the full and legitimate right to target the gathering of Saudi forces.”

The ministry also announced that “shipping in Bab al-Mandeb is safe,” and rejected Saudi Arabia’s statements about the insecurity of this maritime route.
