🔻According to a report by The Washington Post, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, and Pete Hegseth, the (war) U.S. Secretary of Defense, had a disagreement during the weekend meeting of senior government officials at Camp David over reducing the stockpiles of missiles and munitions of the U.S. Army amid the war with Iran.

According to these sources, Mr. Trump, at this meeting, asked Pete Hegseth to explain the severe reduction in the stockpiles of precision munitions and America’s long-range missiles, and expressed concern about the country’s military readiness to continue the hostilities.

The report is being published as, over the past few days, CBS News and Reuters, citing informed sources, reported that during the U.S. military operation against Iran, known as “Eager Fury,” it had consumed almost all of its precision long-range missile stockpiles, including the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) and the precision strike missile. These reports also indicate that the stockpiles of interceptors for the Patriot and THAAD air-defense systems have been depleted at a pace faster than the production capacity of the U.S. defense industries.
