Abbas Moqtadaei, deputy chairman of the Parliament’s National Security Commission, told the Fararu website: “Countries that, especially in the region, have provided bases for Americans and Israelis and have created the conditions for their presence and activities do not have the qualifications to comment on regional security; unless they compensate for the damages they have caused to this region.”

Moqtadaei added: “Saudi Arabia should return to the path that the Quran emphasizes; namely, avoiding differences among Muslim nations and moving in the direction of strengthening the unity of the Islamic world. Iran also follows such an approach and believes that, in the current conditions, presenting viewpoints that stoke differences among Muslim countries will not help solve the problems of the region.”

This member of parliament further said: “Saudi Arabia has made multiple mistakes in trusting America and Israel, and it needs to reconsider its course in this regard.”
