A Yemeni human rights organization said that in the past 24 hours five civilians were killed and 17 others were injured in attacks by Houthi forces on Taiz province.

The Yemen Network for Rights and Freedom, in a report published by Saba News Agency, the official Yemeni government media, reported recording 43 cases of violations by the Houthis during the same period.

According to the organization, one of the victims was a five-year-old girl who died as a result of artillery shell fire.

The report said that Houthi forces fired more than 180 mortar shells, artillery shells, Katyusha rockets, and tank rounds at residential areas in the province, and also carried out a drone attack.

Seven homes, 12 private vehicles, a hospital, and a mosque in the city of Taiz were damaged.

The organization urged the United Nations to take immediate action to protect civilians and deliver essential goods and medical services.
