An American Air Force KC-135R aerial refueling tanker that was involved in a deadly air collision at the Iraq border in March 2026 has been spotted on the ground for the first time since the incident at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.

The aircraft, with tail number 63-8017, was damaged in a collision with another KC-135R and carried out an emergency landing with part of its tail that had been lost.

The tanker aircraft is now broadcasting the call code "RCH564," indicating that it has been repaired and may soon return to the continental United States.
