🔶 A second strong earthquake strikes Indonesia within hours

Indonesia has been shaken by a strong earthquake for the second time within a few hours.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake measured 6.9 on the Richter scale, and this time it affected the island of Sumatra in western Indonesia.

At present, no report has been released about casualties or possible damage.

Last night, on August 14 as well, an earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale hit the island of Flores in eastern Indonesia.

According to the latest reports, at least 47 people have been killed in this earthquake. Rescue forces are still searching among the rubble for people trapped.
