🔹A new music video titled “Faryad” has been released, which its creators say was made in protest of “unfair executions of ordinary people, mainly from among the disadvantaged segment of society.” People, according to them, “their voices are not heard anywhere.”

The composer of this work is Kourosh Taqvi, and the piece was created based on one of the quatrains by Houshang Ebtehaj, known as “Saye (Shadow).”

The work has been performed by a choir group, and Saeed Kamjoo, a kamancheh (spiked fiddle) player, told BBC that the aim of this music video is to protest “the execution of people who are killed in silence somewhere between two groups of war-seekers, both inside and outside Iran.”

The release of this track coincides with warnings by human rights institutions about a significant increase in the issuing and carrying out of death sentences in Iran in recent months.
