A joint Reuters and Ipsos poll shows that only 35% of Americans support the five-month military campaign against Iran, and the majority believe this war is the cause of chaos in the Middle East. Based on the results of the poll, dissatisfaction with the government’s performance in managing the crisis has also led voters to change their views, and Democrats— for the first time in a decade—have been assessed as more effective than Republicans in areas such as crisis management, countering terrorism, and the economy.
