A broadcaster journalist reported that two sounds of explosions were heard in Bandar Abbas, and initial investigations indicate that these sounds were likely from areas around the city. According to him, similar reports have also been reported from Abu Musa and Kish islands as well as the maritime area of Qeshm and the Strait of Hormuz.

The journalist added that, based on initial speculation, the sounds heard may be related to the activities of armed forces in the Strait of Hormuz area, but the exact source is still under investigation. He also said that the political, security, and social affairs deputy of the Hormozgan governorate announced that no explosion occurred in Sīrīk County.

This comes as CENTCOM announced that it has begun its attacks on positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran from an hour or so ago.
