The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said, in a statement, that a facility housing U.S. Army forces in the Al-Rukban area of Jordan was targeted by an attack and, as a result, a number of American servicemembers were killed.

The IRGC also claimed that U.S. officials have not announced the true number of casualties and that the number of those killed is higher than the figures released by Washington.

So far, no independent source or official U.S. authority has confirmed the claim, and it has not been possible to verify it independently.
