🔶 Tel Aviv’s concern about a repeat of the “enter the war and stop it early” scenario
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Israeli security cabinet held a six-hour meeting yesterday to review possible scenarios for escalation of fighting against Iran; because Israeli officials say they are concerned that Jerusalem (Tel Aviv) may enter a new round of military attacks, but only after a few days, be pressured by Washington to halt the operations.
According to this report, prepared based on Israeli officials’ remarks, during the meeting Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, spoke with Marco Rubio, the U.S. secretary of state, to coordinate on different scenarios and exchange views regarding the mutual interests of the United States and Israel.
One of the officials told the Hebrew-language network that Jerusalem is worried about being drawn back into the battlefield and then being stopped by Washington with a “firm and decisive order,” an event that has also occurred in previous rounds of conflict with Iran.
