🔻Special envoys of the U.S. president for the first time traveled to Ukraine and entered Kyiv.

They had traveled to Moscow yesterday in an effort to end the war in Ukraine and met and spoke with Vladimir Putin, president of Russia.

After the trip by the U.S. envoys, the Kremlin said that Mr. Putin’s meeting with Mr. Trump’s envoys was “candid and constructive,” but that no sign of a willingness to end the war was seen in the statement.

Following this meeting, Russia and Ukraine agreed to halt attacks on each other’s capitals for three days.

Before the two U.S. envoys met with Ukraine’s president, Mr. Zelensky said that the Ukrainian negotiators are “ready” and are seeking “dignified peace.”
