🔻 Narges Mohammadi, Nobel Peace Prize winner and Iranian human rights activist, in her first interview after her temporary release from prison told Joumana Karadashe, a CNN reporter, that despite the risks, she still considers fighting Iran’s government her duty.

In the interview, Ms. Mohammadi spoke about her recent memories from her time in Evin Prison. She said that she had been transferring her writings to the outside with the help of friends and fellow prisoners. According to her, in one of the cases, during a visit, security forces confiscated three pages of these writings from one of her friends.

She also said that more than 20 of her notebooks were destroyed after “assault and battery” and after she was transferred from Evin Prison to Zanjan Prison.

In her memoir book titled “A Woman Never Stops Fighting,” Narges Mohammadi has published fresh details about people she says were responsible for mistreating her in prison. The book is set to be released this month in some European countries.

She also acknowledged that an interview with CNN could increase the risk of retaliatory action against her, but said she is not worried and considers speaking out to be her “duty.”
