🔸Jordan: We intercepted Iranian missiles that had targeted Eilat’s rear area

Jordan’s army announced that it had intercepted three Iranian ballistic missiles that were fired toward Eilat’s rear area. It was also reported that another Iranian missile struck an open area.

According to the official Petra news agency report from Jordan, no information has been released about injuries or casualties in this attack.

It was also announced that the Iranian missiles were shot down by an American air defense system.

Israel’s army, meanwhile, also fired Iron Dome interceptors to bring down pieces that were thought likely to threaten the city of Eilat.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant said in response to the targeting of the port of Aqaba in Jordan: “We have stated that if Iran fires missiles at Israel, we will strike it with full force, without any dependence or condition.”

Earlier, the U.S. Embassy in Jordan had asked American citizens to avoid traveling to the international airport and the port of Aqaba.

Aqaba is Jordan’s only seaport, located in the southernmost part of the country and directly across from the Israeli city of Eilat.
