🔶 Friday prayer leader of Mirjaveh killed after shooting by “unknown armed individuals”

Iranian media have reported that Molavi Mohammad Anwar Rigi, the Friday prayer leader of Mirjaveh, was targeted and killed by “unknown armed individuals” on Monday, 29 Tir, near the “Khatam al-Anbiya” mosque in this city.

Mukhtar Mashan Mubarak, the governor of Mirjaveh, told IRNA that he described the attack as a “terrorist act,” and said that investigations are underway to identify and arrest the perpetrators.

The Police Information Center of Sistan and Baluchestan also stated in a statement that the attackers fired at Mohammad Anwar Rigi with “firearms” and “immediately fled the scene.” The statement said that the police commander of the province has issued an order for “special follow-up” on this case.
