🔶 Sale of two apartments linked to Mojtaba Khamenei near the Israeli Embassy in London Reports from British media, including the newspaper “The Sunday Times,” indicate that two luxury apartments in the Kensington area of London that are said to be linked to Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, have been put up for sale by auction.
The two apartments, located on the sixth and seventh floors of a building on “Palace Green” Street, were purchased via intermediaries in 2014 and 2016. The property is situated less than 50 meters from the Israeli Embassy in London and, as a result, has direct views from its rear windows of the embassy.
The decision to sell these properties was made after Ali Ansari, an Iranian businessman and banker who is described as being connected to the Khamenei family, was placed under UK sanctions and proved unable to make installment payments on the mortgage loans for these apartments. Following delays in paying the installments, the UK government issued an order to sell them.
