🔸Police in Tehran says it has arrested a person who on the evening of Monday, 23 Shahrivar, threw three Molotov cocktails at the “gathered people” in Ponak Square in Tehran.
🔸Ponak Square is among the squares in Tehran where, since the start of the 40-day war, government-organized night gatherings have been held.
🔸According to a statement published by the Commander of Tehran Police, “this individual, at around 21:30, threw three Molotov cocktails from atop a building at the crowd, and then fled.”
🔸The statement claims that the person “intended to leave the country unlawfully through its western borders, but officers, by firing a bullet toward his right leg, arrested him and transferred him to a hospital.”
🔸Earlier, on 10 Shahrivar, a car driver also drove his vehicle into a government gathering on Vakeelabad Boulevard in the city of Mashhad, which led to the deaths of four people and the injury of 10 others.
