🔸The spokesman for the Health and Treatment Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly says the price of some hygiene items needed by people with spinal injuries in Iran has increased by two to three times over the past two months, and that the monthly allowance provided by the Welfare Organization is not sufficient to cover this rise in costs.

🔸At the same time, the campaign manager for people with disabilities has announced the cutoff of the payment of allowances for hygiene items for around 13,000 people with severe and very severe disabilities since last month.

🔸Salman Eshaqi, the spokesman for the Health and Treatment Commission of the Majlis, said on Monday, 23 Shahrivar, that about 45,000 people with spinal injuries live in Iran, and that the increase in the prices of hygiene and care products has imposed a heavy burden on their families.

🔸According to him, some people have been forced, due to rising costs, to use disposable items multiple times, and in some cases have faced infections and secondary wounds.

🔸Eshaqi said that the monthly allowance from the Welfare Organization to provide these items is 2,500,000 tomans, and that the Health Commission has requested an increase in this amount in coordination with the government and the Organization of Budget Planning.
