The Israeli army said Sunday that in response to the firing of two explosive drones at its forces in the security area, it targeted a range of objectives belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

According to the Israeli army, fighter jets of the air force bombed weapons depots and buildings that Hezbollah forces used to plan and direct operations against Israeli forces.

The Israeli army also said it targeted a Hezbollah command post that had been based in a building with a former hospital use. According to the statement, the site had recently been used for surveillance and artillery activities.

The Israeli army emphasized that the attacks were carried out to eliminate threats to its forces and Israeli citizens.
