🔶 Iranian Army: With the halt of U.S. attacks, retaliatory operations were stopped
Mohammad Akerimiya, the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, announced on Sunday, 4 Mordad (26 July) that after the cessation of U.S. attacks over the past two nights, Iran also stopped its retaliatory operations in the region.
According to Akerimiya, the clashes between Iran and the United States lasted about 15 days, and American forces in particular targeted Iran’s southern strip. He added that Iran’s operations focused on quick response and targeting radar installations and support centers.
Contrary to the claims made by the army spokesperson, during these attacks civilian targets were also hit. According to Kuwaiti officials, water and desalination facilities in the country were targeted and sustained damage.
Akerimiya described the halt of U.S. attacks as a “sign of wear and tear in Washington’s strategic decision-making,” but said it is still not possible to identify a specific strategy for the United States’ next actions. He cited scenarios such as exiting the conflict, carrying out extensive airstrikes, and even carrying out ground operations.
