Fox News, citing Mike Waltz, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, reported that the Islamic Republic is facing increasing pressures at home and that, at the same time, its economy and military capabilities are still being harmed.

Waltz said that the U.S. naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz remains in place and that this action has increased pressure on Tehran. He added that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, is simultaneously considering diplomatic and military options regarding the Islamic Republic.
