🔻Ali Tajerneya, the acting CEO of Esteghlal Football Club, regarding this club’s request to be awarded the unfinished championship trophy for the past half-finished season, said: “What would it bother anyone to award the championship trophy to Esteghlal? Why should anyone be upset? We (during the suspension of the Premier League) were in the best conditions.”

🔹He said: “We are civilized people. I want to do it through correspondence and within the framework of the law, but if we were the kind to cause a commotion and bring the government and the establishment into it and use our own tools, I think we would have taken the trophy by now.”
