A senior official in Israel’s National Security Headquarters told Iran International that the Islamic Republic has increased its efforts to target government opponents, journalists, Jews, and Israelis outside Iran, and its operational units for carrying out operations abroad have been activated.
According to the official, the Islamic Republic uses the lack of full security support for Iranian opposition figures and journalists in the countries where they live to plan operations against them, and the same units that operate against Jews and Israelis also play a role in these operations.
The official described Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates as high-risk countries for Israelis, and several European countries as high-risk areas for the opponents of the Islamic Republic. He also said that after the killing of Ali Khamenei and a number of senior officials of the government, the Islamic Republic is strongly seeking revenge against Israel.
According to the official, Israel’s attacks during the war caused serious damage to the Islamic Republic’s operational networks abroad, but the government has begun rebuilding these networks.
