In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning repeated attacks by the Islamic Republic on Bahrain and Kuwait, said these attacks constitute a serious violation of the rules of international law. In the statement, Qatar emphasized the need to keep the region safe from the consequences of these unjustified attacks, to continue the path of dialogue and diplomacy, to reduce tensions, and to make use of the achievements reached within the framework of the Tehran-Washington understandings. Qatar also announced its “full solidarity” with Bahrain and Kuwait against attacks by the Islamic Republic. Early on Wednesday, 17 Tir, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that in response to U.S. attacks, it targeted dozens of military-related targets associated with the United States in Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones. Qatar is considered one of the main mediators between the Islamic Republic and the United States; however, on Tuesday, 16 Tir, a Qatari oil tanker in the waters of the Gulf of Oman was targeted by attacks attributed to the Islamic Republic’s military forces.
