🔶11 killed due to the explosion of a fuel tanker on the Sanandaj–Hamadan road

According to the Kurdistan Province Emergency Medical Services Center, following the explosion of a fuel tanker on the Sanandaj–Hamadan road, 11 people were killed and five others were injured.

It has been reported that in this incident on Saturday, 14 Shahrivar, the fuel tanker caught fire and exploded, and the flames spread to several vehicles at the scene.

The head of the Sanandaj Municipality Cooperation Organization said that five of the organization’s contracted forces were among the fatalities.

The head of Emergency Services at Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences also announced: “Five injured people from this incident, after conducting initial treatment and relief measures, were transferred to Kowsar Hospital in Sanandaj to continue their treatment.”
