The US Treasury Department added 28 Iranian airlines, including Ata, Iran Airtour, Asseman, Kish, and Qeshm, as well as seven companies affiliated with the aviation sector, to the sanctions list.

Several companies based in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan that are connected to Mahan Air or its related networks were also sanctioned.
