Netanyahu: Mojtaba Khamenei is alive
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said in an interview with Channel 12 of the country that, in his opinion, Mojtaba Khamenei is alive.
The show’s host, referring to Mojtaba Khamenei’s absence from his father’s funeral and the fact that no images or audio of him have been released, raised the possibility that he was killed and that news of his death had been concealed.
Netanyahu said: “He did not attend his father’s funeral, and his voice has not been heard. A person does not simply disappear like this just because his leg is injured; especially someone who appears to be the leader of the Islamic Republic.”
However, when asked by the host, Netanyahu stressed: “I think he is alive.”
