❌ Kaja Kallas, the EU’s top foreign policy official, on Thursday, the first of Mordad, described the Houthi attack on a tanker in the Red Sea as “unacceptable and unlawful,” and said the group’s threat of creating a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia was a “dangerous escalation of the situation.”

Kallas emphasized that these threats directly put regional stability at risk, and that shipping should flow unhindered both through the Strait of Hormuz and in the Red Sea.
