🔶 Lavrov: Germany’s accusations against Russia could lead to war

Russia’s foreign minister, while rejecting the accusation of Moscow’s involvement in a drone attack on Leipzig/Halle Airport, claimed that “Germany’s accusations against Russia could lead to war.”

The German government on Tuesday, September 1 (October 10), blamed Russia for an attempt to carry out an attack with an explosive-carrying drone in early August at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

Over the past week, Moscow and Berlin have shut down each other’s cultural centers, and EU member countries have also summoned Russian envoys.

On Sunday, September 6, Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, told a reporter from the country’s state television: “In general, this is the start of a real war. They expelled the consul-general from the building. They are shutting down ‘Russian House’ in Berlin. I remember that even before the start of World War II, the Germans had closed their diplomatic missions.”

Lavrov had previously also criticized the fact that German officials had not provided any evidence, and added: “They saw a drone and decided that its appearance looks like a Russian drone.”
