Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, announced on Thursday, 19 Shahrivar, that the army of this country has completed operations to destroy the tunnels and Hezbollah’s underground infrastructure in the Al-Tayer mountain range, near Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.

Netanyahu wrote on the X social network: “Tonight, we destroyed the Islamic Republic’s biggest base outside Iran, the Al-Tayer tunnels in Lebanon. Mission accomplished.”

The Israeli army said that the forces of the 36th Division, after taking operational control of the area, destroyed a network of underground routes totaling more than two kilometers.

According to the Israeli army, dozens of rockets, missiles and drones manufactured by the Islamic Republic, machine guns, anti-tank missiles, and hundreds of mines and explosive materials were found in this network.

Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Galant, Israel’s defense minister, announced that this infrastructure was built over two decades with the Islamic Republic’s funding and design, and was supposed to be used to carry out Hezbollah’s plan to seize the Galilee region.

They added that Israeli forces will remain deployed to prevent Hezbollah’s return to the area and will continue to destroy the group’s infrastructure.
