Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior said the air raid siren has sounded for the third time in the country. Bahraini officials asked citizens and residents to remain calm, go to the nearest safe place, and follow news only through official channels.

In recent hours, Bahrain has been put on alert several times alongside missile and drone attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran on Gulf Arab countries. The country hosts the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet and one of the most important U.S. military bases in the region.

In retaliation for U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) attacks on 140 military targets in Iran on Sunday morning, the Islamic Republic targeted military and drone attacks at the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Qatar and the United Arab Emirates are among the regional mediators in talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.
