Kuwait’s foreign ministry condemned attacks by the Islamic Republic on this country and said the measures reflect a “hostile, ongoing and recurring approach.”
The ministry described the attacks as a clear violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
In a statement, Kuwait’s foreign ministry said the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of this country cannot be targeted, and Kuwait reserves all its rights to take any necessary action to protect its security and sovereignty.
Hours earlier, the Kuwait Army had announced that the country’s armed forces were currently confronting hostile air targets within Kuwaiti airspace. In response to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ reaction to the United States’ attacks on 140 military targets in Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted six Arab countries, including Kuwait, with missile and drone attacks.
