An alliance led by Saudi Arabia said a wave of Houthi attacks early Tuesday morning injured 73 people, including women and children.

The spokesman for the alliance said the Houthis targeted “civilian and economic facilities” in the cities of Abha, Jazan, Najran and Khamis Mushait.

Turkey al-Maliki called the attacks a “dangerous escalation” and added: “The escalation by the terrorist Houthi militias and their efforts to target the Kingdom, national assets, citizens and residents confirms the hostile and irresponsible approach of these terrorist militias.”

Al-Maliki said the joint forces command of the alliance is carrying out “all necessary operational actions with the utmost decisiveness” to deter.

The attacks took place after the Houthis accused Saudi Arabia of attacking a prison in Yemen’s Al-Jawf province.
