〰️ Arab countries in the Gulf region, in coordination with the United States, on Tuesday added 16 individuals and 5 entities related to Lebanon’s Hezbollah to their list of terrorism sanctions. The joint action was carried out by members of the “Terrorist Financing Targeting Center” (TFTC), including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Among the entities sanctioned are the “Al-Qard Al-Hasan” Institute and “Bayt Al-Mal,” which are known as Hezbollah’s informal treasury. Senior officials including Ibrahim Ali Dhaher, head of Hezbollah’s Central Financial Unit, and Ahmad Mohammad Yizbak, financial director of Al-Qard Al-Hasan, are also included in the list. The U.S. Department of the Treasury said that the coordinated actions reflect the members’ shared commitment within the TFTC to prevent Hezbollah from abusing the international financial system.
